About Truscott Elementary School

Truscott Elementary is a bilingual school community where students develop academic skills, cultural competence, and strong ties to their school and neighborhood. Truscott serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers a Spanish-English Dual Language Immersion program.

Dual Language Immersion

Truscott’s Spanish-English Dual Language Immersion program offers students opportunities to learn academic content in both languages. Students spend about half of their instructional day learning in English and the other half in Spanish.

Supporting Every Student

Truscott provides academic and social-emotional supports based on individual student needs. Programs and resources may include i-Ready instruction in literacy and math, Lexia, Imagine Español, Kids HOPE mentoring, HABIC, and CharacterStrong.

Truscott also partners with community organizations to provide additional opportunities and support for students and families.

Family and Community Involvement

Families are an important part of the Truscott community. Involvement opportunities include Café con Leche, the School Accountability and Advisory Committee, school events, and year-round volunteer opportunities.
