Back to School Night
Back to School Night at Truscott Elementary typically occurs in the early weeks of the school year.
This event provides an opportunity to learn about exciting happenings throughout the school and in your child's classroom. Families rotate through grade-level classrooms to meet teachers and gain insights into curriculum, expectations, and more.

Monday Morning Assembly
Every Monday, the Truscott community gathers in the gym for our energizing and engaging Monday Morning Assemblies as students arrive to school. These assemblies are a highlight of our week, featuring:
- Student Celebrations: We shine a spotlight on our amazing students – from academic achievements to acts of kindness, we recognize and celebrate their successes.

Field Trips
Exciting field trips are an important part of learning at Truscott Elementary!
- Grade Level Adventures: Each grade level embarks on a variety of enriching field trips throughout the year.
- Teacher-Led Experiences: Field trips are organized and communicated directly by your child's classroom teacher.
- Volunteer Opportunities: If you're interested in chaperoning a field trip, please contact your child's teacher for more information.
- Permission Slips: Permission slips will be sent home prior to each field trip.
We encourage you to support your child's learning by participating in these memorable experiences.
Día de los Muertos • Day of the Dead
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrated in late October, early November. It's a time for families and friends to gather and remember loved ones who have passed away.
- Join us for an evening of events, food, and fun as we celebrate this special occasion.
- Students are welcome to wear their costumes!
- You can honor your loved ones by adding their photos to the ofrenda (altar).

Veteran's Day Parade
Every November 11th, the Loveland community comes together to honor our local Veterans. Students from Truscott Elementary School proudly line the streets, waving flags and cheering as the parade marches by.
Details about the Loveland Veteran's Day Parade will be published in our Weekly Newsletter as the event approaches.
We encourage all community members to join us in showing our gratitude and support for those who have served our country.
Grandparents Day Luncheon
Join us for a special Grandparents Day Luncheon!
- Date: Typically held in November
- Details: Grandparents (or other family members) are invited to join their student for lunch.
- RSVP: Information on how to RSVP will be shared via Facebook, Instagram, and Class Dojo closer to the event date.
- Registration is required to ensure we have an accurate count for lunch preparations.

Spring All School Musical
Each Spring, our talented students shine in the spotlight during the highly anticipated All School Musical!

Annual Pozole Dinner
Gather with your family and friends for our Annual Family Pozole Dinner, usually held each December! This beloved community event will feature delicious Pozole, a traditional Mexican soup or stew prepared with hominy, meat, and seasonings. In addition, the Truscott Dance Team will present captivating cultural dance performances. Come together to enjoy good food, good company, and celebrate our shared traditions.

Career Week
Get ready to explore the world of work! During Career Week, we invite inspiring community members and local professionals to share their career journeys with our students.
- Hear firsthand: Learn about different career paths, the skills and education needed, and the daily realities of various professions.
- Meet local experts: Interact with representatives from local departments like police, fire, and public works to understand how their roles impact our community.

Field Day
Mark your calendars! Truscott Elementary School's annual Field Day is typically held in May. This exciting event is a fun-filled day where students showcase their physical education skills through a variety of engaging stations.
How can you help?
We rely heavily on the support of our amazing parent volunteers! We need assistance with:
- Setup: Helping set up the field and stations in the morning.
- Running Stations: Assisting our teachers in supervising and encouraging students at various activity stations.
- Tear Down: Helping clean up the field and put away equipment after the event.
